Speed Dating: 3 Minutes to Financial Wisdom

Announcing our first in-person event of 2026 – and this time, you are the speaker.

At GJWHF$, we believe every woman in our community has valuable financial knowledge to share, whether it comes from lived experience, hard-won lessons, or professional expertise. So instead of inviting an expert to educate us, we're turning the mic around: for one evening, our members will teach one another, three minutes at a time.

Whether you're a seasoned investor or still building your confidence, this is your chance to swap insights, spark ideas, and grow our collective financial know-how – over a glass of wine and in good company.

Who is it for?

Join us if:

• You'd like to speak 1-on-1 with other GJWHF$ members for three minutes on any topic relating to financial empowerment.

• You're curious about learning something new about finance that you hadn't considered before.

• You'd like to meet other GJWHF$ members and set up future 1-on-1 money dates.

Potential topics to cover

• How to use AI to manage your finances

• The financial costs of IVF

• What insurance is essential for a financially healthy life – and what to skip

• How to negotiate your tenancy agreement

• Things to think about when writing your will

• Little ways to save big money in Hong Kong

• How to negotiate a raise at work

• Teaching kids about personal finance

• Your top three finance book recommendations

How it works:

Every participant identifies one financial empowerment topic that they're comfortable speaking about for three minutes. You'll then rotate through short 1-on-1 conversations with everyone else in the room.

By the end of the evening, you will have:

• Connected with every other participant in the room and gotten to know the GJWHF$ community better

• Learned something useful about a topic you hadn't given much thought to before

• Realised that you are a valued member of our community with something meaningful to share

• Identified GJWHF$ members to follow up with for deeper conversations and future 1-on-1 money dates

Places are limited.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and capped at 80 attendees. Once we reach capacity, you'll be added to the waitlist.

Ground Rules

• This event is a knowledge and experience sharing session. There is no expectation on participants to answer questions beyond what they are comfortable answering. 

• Participants attend in a personal capacity to share experience and knowledge which may or may not have been acquired through professional work.

• This event is not a professional marketplace; self-promotion of businesses or services is not permitted.

• Participants are welcome to organise their own 1-on-1 money dates with other GJWHF$ members after the event.

• No-shows may affect your ability to attend future GJWHF$ events.
