About the Event

Many women are taught to work hard and “do a great job” – but not how to confidently translate their contribution into fair pay, stronger scope and long-term upside. Yet compensation isn’t just base salary: it’s the full exchange of your value for salary, bonus, equity, benefits, flexibility and future opportunity.

In this session, Theresa will share practical, actionable insights to help women in both corporate and startup environments articulate their value, negotiate compensation with confidence, and look beyond base salary to secure meaningful long-term rewards and opportunities.

Whether you’re negotiating a new offer in an established corporate or growing startup, preparing for a performance review, returning after a break or trying to reset your compensation in-role, you’ll leave with clear language, frameworks and next steps you can put into practice immediately.

Topics this discussion will cover:

  1. Understanding and articulating your value (beyond base salary)

  2. Building a compelling case using evidence, outcomes and impact

  3. Timing, anchoring and trade-offs in salary and compensation conversations

  4. Total compensation: bonus, benefits, flexibility, learning and progression

  5. Startups & equity: what to ask, how to evaluate, and key red flags
